The academic qualification required for this post shall be at least Matriculation or Secondary School Certificate level. However, Science-based Matriculation would be preferred even though it is not mandatory. Besides this requirement, there are two other requirements and these include:

• Grade A Registered Nurse
• Registered Midwife

Both are essential or else no further processing of the application will be entertained.

As far as age is concerned, it is stated that the candidate should be less than 40 years old. However, it should be known that there is an age relaxation policy which is now practiced according to the rules of the federal government; hence, those applicants whose age exceeds the specified number can also become eligible. Key Responsibilities

General Nursing Care: The applicant is expected to provide nursing services to the patients with the use of established health measures within the health care facility. These include routine measures such as measurement of vital signs of the patient, treatment and monitoring of his/her progress.

Midwifery Services: Before, During, and After Birth from Pregnancy to Postpartum One of the most important responsibilities that come with this task is providing midwifery services to help the mother during her pregnancy, assist during delivery and provide postnatal services after the delivery of the baby. It can be quite a tough task; however, it is usually very rewarding. The expectant mother relies on her midwife a lot, and you will be that midwife.

Collaboration with the Healthcare Team Medical Record Keeping Patient record keeping is mandatory for your role as a nurse. You have to provide proper documentation on each visit and treatment of each patient

 Hygiene and Safety Standards Strict adherence to hygiene and safety protocols is essential in any clinical setting, and this role is no exception. From proper handwashing, to sterilized equipment, to correct waste disposal, every safety step matters: for your protection, and for your patients’.

Health Education and Awareness Health Education and Awareness At other times, you may have to take part in some health education and awareness programs like educating your concerned family member regarding your treatment program or at least some guidelines for disease prevention. Not only treating the disease but also preventing it is included in quality health care.

It can be quite hectic and at times difficult too, but definitely a highly satisfying day from the perspective of its positive impact on your patients.
